that's exciting right?

i will be even more excited this time next year when i find out whether or not i am going to get into college
or in a couple of months when i finally get to leave for NYC
or maybe anytime now when i hear back from my journalism internships rather than my advertising ones
or maybe when i find out who i am going to prom with (or if i am going at all)
or maybe when i meet the man of my dreams

i guess i should be excited but there is so much left that i am waiting to behold
ack.
what am i waiting for? 17 years really dont mean much to me
apart from a year older and a year of less time i have to do what i need to do.

i am angsty, but i should be

don't get me wrong, i am glad that i am not longer 16
but it really doesn't make a different to me either way
